The Topology Structure For Basic Business
Topology is a pattern of network devices and describes the way in which theses devices are connected. Topology provides different configurations that are used to create a network as per the choice and usability. While connecting computers and other networking devices together to form a network industries are decide a plane in which ways we have to design a network. Each type of topology has its own strengths and weaknesses. These topology are used in LAN, MAN and WAN. Following today's market use start topology is the most using topology still in the networking field. There are total six different topology as Bus, Star, Ring, Mesh, Tree and Hybrid. They all different six topology are as.
Bus Topology - In the Bus topology, devices share a common backbone cable to send and receive data. A thick co-axial cable is used to connect all devices such cable is similar to Television cables. Here all the computers are connected using T connector. At the end of the cable terminators are used to end the cable points. The problem in such type of topology is that this is one of the slowest speed provider in the whole network. It is about 10 Mbps which is too low. It does not have ability to transfer multiple data in single time and creates collision in the network. Troubleshooting for any specific computer is very complex and single signal lost may affect the whole network.

Star Topology - In start topology, multiple devices are connected to a central connection point known as hub or switch. Devices are attached to the switch by using either copper cable or fiber optic cable. Mostly we use here copper cable of CAT-5 or CAT-6. This is the best method of establishing a network and still used world wide. Best feature of this topology is that is single PC may affected in network will not disturbing the whole network and troubleshooting is easy here. But the cabling cost may be higher but usable for the long term investment.

Ring Topology - All devices are connected to each other in the form of a closed loop like ring when ring topology term appear. Each device has only two neighbors for communication purpose one is upstream and another is downstream. Here a term used TOKEN which is special 3 byte data which gives permission to transmit the data.

Mesh Topology - In mesh topology, Each devices is connected to every other devices. A device can send data to all the devices in the network. Data sent by the device can take any possible paths to reach the destination. This is the topology mostly used in the WAN on routers. it allow alternative method to transmit the data over the whole network.

Tree Topology - A tree topology combines the characteristics of linear bus and star topology. In tree topology, group of star networks are combined to the linear bus backbone. Twisted pare cables is commonly used here. It is mostly used when we need a step by step work in the industry. Today it is not used because of more collision and errors are commits on multiple transmission.

Hybrid Topology - Hybrid topology is a combined part of all the above network. it is also called as a special topology. This is used when staff had its own different type of network. The mixture word will simplify this above all have there own feature and Hybrid a just combination of all of them in one.

The Main object of developing such topology is to maintain reliability for different different tasks. Which also be helpful in managing the networks and future connection upgrading. It depends upon the organization which task it has to do then decides which topology would be effective for him. Generally star topology is much better for all type of organization.
